Grace and Jacob's Colorado wedding took place at Stone Mountain Lodge, in one of our favorite little towns: Lyons, Colorado. Stone Mountain Lodge is tucked into the side of Steamboat Mountain on St. Vrain Drive, which is one (very picturesque) route to Rocky Mountain National Park. Grace and Jacob's day was full of fun people, sweet moments, and beautiful music.
Leading up to their May wedding day, we all wondered what the weather would be like -- in the forecast was some "classic Colorado weather," as Grace put it -- cold and likely snowy. In classic Colorado fashion, however, no such weather showed up in Lyons on their wedding day. Instead, we got a sun-drenched ceremony and warmer temperatures, plus a sky like this...
Jacob got a little emotional throughout the ceremony. He may have also got a little sunburned.
This was the first time we had the pleasure of working with Trading Post Productions. These guys are excellent. Not only are they stellar musicians who provide excellent string music for ceremonies, but they transform into wedding DJs for the reception. Seriously some of the best sound quality we've ever worked with at weddings, and they pay attention to what the couple wants to hear.
Another great idea from Grace & Jacob: a Jenga guestbook.
Wedding pies are a great choice for those who aren't that into cake.
Congratulations, Grace & Jacob!
