Sydney & Joel's beautiful wedding ceremony at Crooked Willow Farms was something out of a Colorado wedding photographer's dream. Sunny skies, an amazing dress, dogs with cool haircuts, and camels. Crooked Willow Farms has an animal rescue component, and the camels on the property were rescued from somewhere or another and will live out their days in a lush meadow with mountain views.
Sydney's sister used to be a wedding photographer, and she first got in touch with us about Sydney's wedding. We really love it when other photographers want to hire us!
Larkspur is a beautiful, lush area between I-25 and the Rocky Mountains, so the views are gorgeous and the land is flatter than some other parts of Colorado with similar views. Best of both worlds! Sometimes it gets windy, though, and wind plus long, beautifully styled hair can be no fun. Thankfully, Crooked Willow Farms has no lack of fantastic indoor areas to take formal photos.
The wall of candles and warm wood tones inside the barn at Crooked Willow Farms make a perfect setting. The barn is detached from the rest of the venue, which makes it an ideal place for family and the wedding party to gather for formal photos.
Right outside the barn is this spot, too! Can you tell we loved this venue?
As the end note to an incredible sunny day, the sky put on a brilliant show for us at sunset. We stole Sydney & Joel for a few minutes to take advantage of the beautiful light. And this, folks, is why we ask every couple who books with us if they'd like to set aside 15 minutes at sunset -- sunset light is usually great no matter what, but you just might get a sunset like this.
Congratulations, Sydney & Joel!
